• For canon queer ships, I like fics set in post-canon exploring what happens with the ship after the end of the story.
• Alternate universes. I love them, the weirder and more specific the better. Modern? Hell yeah. Canon divergence? Hell yeah. Some sort of genre setting different from the canon? Hell yeah. However, I don't like police, mafia, omegaverse, coffee shop, university, serial killer, or high school AUs. Other than those, go ham.
• I absolutely adore horror. However, I don't like bad or unhappy endings, though you're free to kill off all the side characters or OCs that you want. Here's some tags I asked for in the Jump Scare exchange: Horror Comedy, Blood and Gore, Competently handling the horrifying thing, Creeping Horror, folk horror, The kind of 'scary' that could be described as 'haunting', Tending to injury incurred by horror situation.
• I like scenarios where a couple is isolated from others and have to work together to survive.
• I enjoy humor and fic that's just exploring a character or relationship.
• I love established relationship fics.
• Smut is always excellent and PWP is welcome. The sex I best like to read has a lot of enthusiasm from both sides. The sex doesn't have to be flawlessly amazing but everyone is having fun. I prefer reading anal to other sex acts and I've specified who I want to top in each ship's section. If you want to add a kink to a scene, I love crossdressing and non-degrading dirty talk.
• Road trips. 
• ROMANCE. Give me my ship being loving in whatever way they tend to show their love and I'll be so happy.
• I enjoy fic of any rating. I know explicit fic covers a large part of my output, but that's just how my brain goes for ideas and doesn't reflect all the things that I like reading.

• Permanent disabling injury of requested characters. Temporary horrible injuries are welcome and eye injury is fine.
• Major character death. Canonical deaths and OC deaths are fine.
• The following alternate universe settings:
  • Coffee shop, police, mafia, university, Harry Potter, serial killer, high school, omegaverse
• Pregnancy of any sort in anyone, including mentions. Minors. Deaging. Babies. Infantilization. Lactation.
• Asexual or aromantic characters in a requested ship.
• Angst about aging/lifespan differences.
• Crossovers and fusions.
• One-sided relationships where only one character has feelings for the other.
• Pairings that include a cis character and a trans character unless explicitly requested. Writing T4T between characters with the same kind of genitals is just fine, although I'd rather you not make trans identity a focus of the story if you do. Also, I prefer that AMAB/alternate words be used in sex scenes involving trans men.
• Fic that's over 10,000 words.
• Negotiation about consent or kinks. I want everyone to be on the same page, but discussion is not needed.
• Noncon/rape or rape play. Dubcon (drunk sex is fine as long as the characters are not so wasted that they can't consent). Underage.
• Domestic abuse. Slavery.
• BDSM and D/s.
• Switching. I prefer pairings be fixed in who tops and who bottoms. I've noted which character I want to top in my requests.
• Polyamory/OT3s/open relationships. Unrequested non-canon side pairings. Infidelity. Breaking up. Exes to lovers.
• Focus on an M/F relationship. Brief mentions of canon ones are fine.
• Fic focusing on gender dysphoria or identity, misogyny, racism, homophobia, sexual identity, transphobia, mental illness, bipolar disorder, or self-harm.
• Cat harm.

• Canon divergences are always fun! Canon-typical plots in general are my jam. Wanna write post-canon fic? I love it!
  
• Smut is always excellent and PWP is welcome. The sex I best like to read has a lot of enthusiasm from both sides. Maybe the sex is funny, maybe it's just sexy, but everyone is having fun. Anal sex is definitely a big like for me, but if you'd rather write oral or handjobs because that's what you feel more comfortable with or more inspired to write, please go for those instead! Don't feel tied to the butt! If you want some more specific inspiration, here are some tags I asked for in Smut 4 Smut: Desperate Sex, Consensual Drunk Sex, Jealousy leads to possessive sex (standard gong vinegar style, not actually controlling behavior), Awkward Sex, Topping from the Bottom, Dirty Talk (I prefer praise/general enjoyment/sharing fantasies to degrading/threatening talk - it's also really nice when it's customized to the character rather than being generic), Roleplaying (the more unique to the characters the better), Semi-Public Sex (like when they're hidden away but someone might hear them/walk in on them - I don't like voyeurism or exhibitionism though).
  
• I love crossdressing/crossdressing plots/crossdressing during sex. I don’t like it when there’s an element of humiliation or shame though. I don't want any changing of pronouns or referring to body parts by names other than what they actually are. If you write crossdressing during sex, I don't care whether the crossdressing character is topping or bottoming.
  
• I also enjoy hurt/comfort – and characters getting injured in general. I don't like hurt/comfort when it's stuff like, a character has a cold and gets pampered. Here are some tags I asked for in the H/C Exchange: Blood Loss, coughing up blood, field medicine, Hurt can only be resolved with Sex for some reason, and Trapped Together While One Is Injured.

• Nanqiu screw. That's it that's my prompt. I have a slight preference for outside of the door, and post-canon is a perfectly fine setup for fucking.
  
• Fic exploring the big spoiler about Ruan Nanzhu.
  

• There's so much room for exploring You Huo's past, particularly with Qin Jiu. Anything exploring more of how they got together those first two times would be great!
  
• You Huo's past before he met Qin Jiu would also be interesting! Or what about when he was recovering from being kicked from the system, before the novel started?
  
• Remember the exam right before they got together, with the Duke and the "married" couples? WHAT IF... you wrote a canon divergence... where Qin Jiu and You Huo were assigned as a married couple... or if in order to group up, You Huo put on a dress? WHEEZE. Maybe the system wouldn't go off if they did it because *waves hands vaguely* the system got confused.
  
• WHY DIDN'T MUSULI INCLUDE ANY DESCRIPTIONS OF THE JIUHUO BLOODDRINKING??? YOU COULD FIX IT.

The Slynx is about post-apocalyptic Russia, written about two hundred years or so after the calamity. It was really interesting and creative, although it really suffered from me disliking he POV character. Benedict is an unlikable ass, and I honestly don’t care about his Big Book Feelings because he’s an asshole. This is in fact a major sticking point for me when it comes to books: the main character doesn’t need to be a good person, but I have to like/enjoy them somehow. Benedict was just someone whom I felt was getting in the way of the worldbuilding. 

As for the worldbuilding, Tolstaya does a great job at playing up the mutant trope and the theme of rebuilding from nothing. Something she did that was particularly good was she had survivors from the time of the Blast who were basically immortal, but she didn’t use one for the POV - which I think was ultimately a good decision, because it meant Benedict was a naive narrator, but also a problem because I couldn’t stand the guy. 

Tolstaya wrote a great mix of the familiar and the uncanny - a good example is how the cats in The Slynx still chase mice, but they have little human hands (kinda adorable IMO). Mice, by the way, form the basic economic unit of the post-apocalyptic society. 

Highly recommend this to fans of post-apocalyptic lit if you can withstand a punchable narrator.
